Celtic: £3.6m Star Could Leave Parkhead

Former Celtic striker and pundit Frank McAvennie has been reacting to a transfer update on attacker Liel Abada.

What’s the latest on Abada’s Celtic future?

Abada made the move to Parkhead back in 2021 and has proven to be a smart signing by the Hoops. The 21-year-old is already closing in on 100 first-team appearances in Glasgow, contributing to 45 goals in the process.

The right-winger has contributed to 19 goals during the current campaign, and his impact in Scotland has not gone unnoticed. Premier League side Southampton are thought to be readying an eight-figure offer for Abada, who has reportedly failed to come to an agreement with Celtic over a new contract. As a result, the Hoops appear to be open to offers for the attacker heading into the summer window.

McAvennie was talking to Football Insider regarding a potential exit for Abada. He believes that the player won’t go to a bigger club than Celtic and feels that Ange Postecoglou won’t be too bothered should he leave. The pundit also described Abada as ‘terrible for a couple of games’, resulting in Postecoglou taking him out of the starting XI.

“It is inevitable players move on but he is only a young boy. He is at a big club and doing well and all of a sudden agents are creeping in.

“It is not going to happen, he will not go to any bigger club than Celtic. That is if he even wants to leave. He is only 21, I think Ange is doing well with him. He was terrible for a couple of games and the manager had every right to leave him out. Then when he brings him back he does well.

“I do not think it will bother Ange too much. If he goes somewhere else he will be like another player. Abada is not ready to go to the Premier League. He is at a huge club, the fans love him and he has got to settle down.”

Should Celtic sell Abada?

Celtic have been in this position before when it comes to Premier League interest in one of their impressive performers so may not be too stressed at the possibility of an exit. The Hoops paid £3.6m for Abada, who is still under contract until 2026, so the ball is firmly in Celtic’s court. Should Southampton offer an eight-figure sum for the player, then the Hoops would be making an eye-catching profit which could be invested into bringing in his replacement.

Abada may have had his ups and downs this season, as McAvennie mentions, but he has shown his ability in Scotland, however, if the price is right, it could be wise to cash in, especially with the forward failing to agree on new terms in Scotland.

Burnley Plotting Move for 20 y/o Forward

Burnley are plotting a move for Ajax forward Sontje Hansen, Football Insider report.

What’s the latest on Burnley and Hansen?

The Clarets have one foot back in the Premier League after an extremely successful first season under Vincent Kompany. The club are currently 11 points clear of second place Sheffield United and 17 clear of third place Middlesbrough after losing just two of their 38 Championship fixtures.

Burnley can seal an immediate return to the top flight over the Easter weekend, and it looks as if Kompany is already planning ahead for the summer transfer window, with news of a new target emerging.

Football Insider shared a story regarding Hansen in the last 24 hours regarding Burnley and Hansen. They revealed that the Clarets are plotting a summer move for Hansen, with Kompany pushing the Burnley board to get a deal over the line as he is keen to add more creativity and goal output to his side.

Who is Hansen?

Hansen is just 20 years of age and has been on the books of Ajax since 2013. He is primarily a right-winger who can play anywhere across the front three and is represented by well-known agency Wasserman, which also looks after five Burnley players.

The Dutch attacker is on course to become a free agent in the summer after making just two appearances for Ajax’s first team. He has impressed in the youth sides, though, making a total of 157 appearances in the academy, scoring 37 times and registering 32 assists, as per Transfermarkt.

Once valued at €6m (£5.3m), Hansen was attracting interest from Manchester City, Juventus, Inter Milan and RB Leipzig back in 2020 but ended up remaining with the Dutch giants.

A move away appears to be a possibility over the coming months, and a switch to Turf Moor could be a wise move by the Claret as the player looks to make an impact at first-team level.

Kompany appears to be a big fan of the forward who stole the show at the U-17 World Cup in 2019 for Holland, winning the Golden Boot at the tournament. Burnley currently have two right-wingers on the books in Manuel Benson and Johann Berg Gudmundsson, with the latter 32 and out of contract next year. Nathan Tella is on loan until the end of the season from Southampton, so perhaps Hansen could come in and provide another versatile option in the final third, possibly alongside Tella should the club target a permanent deal.

Rangers Expecting £5.6k-p/w Star To Leave This Summer

Rangers now expect to lose Scott Wright in the summer transfer window, amid interest in the winger from English Championship sides, according to a report from Football Insider.

Which Rangers players could leave this summer?

Michael Beale may have a bit of a rebuilding job on his hands this summer, as some long-serving players are being linked with moves away from the club, most notably Alfredo Morelos, with the Colombian's contract set to expire at the end of the season.

The chances of the striker leaving are ever-increasing, as he is still yet to enter talks with the club about a new deal, with Beale set to wait until the end of the campaign before making his mind up.

41-year-old goalkeeper Allan McGregor could also call time on his Rangers career in the summer, when his current deal expires, but he will make a definite decision at the end of the campaign, depending on whether he feels he can still perform at a good level.

Another Light Blues player that may be on the move at the end of the campaign is Wright, with Football Insider reporting English Championship sides are circling, as well as teams from the Scottish top flight.

The winger is now expected to leave the club, despite having two years left on his contract, with Beale already starting his plans for the off-season, as he vies to close the gap on rivals Celtic.

The Rangers boss was unwilling to part with the 25-year-old in January, but his future will be re-assessed in the summer, at which point he is likely to sanction his departure.

Should Rangers let Scott Wright leave?

The £5.6k-per-week earner has stepped up to the plate in some big moments for the Light Blues, most notably scoring the second in the 2-0 win against Hearts in the Scottish Cup final last season.

However, the former Aberdeen man is clearly unfavoured by Beale, regularly being limited to cameo appearances off the bench, meaning he has amassed just one assist in the Scottish Premiership this season.

Soccer Football – Scottish Cup – Final – Rangers v Heart of Midlothian – Hampden Park, Glasgow, Scotland, Britain – May 21, 2022 Rangers’ Scott Wright scores their second goal REUTERS/Russell Cheyne

Despite being hailed as having "so much talent" by journalist Josh Bunting, the Scot has been unable to display his quality often enough in a Rangers shirt, and it is probably the right decision to allow him to move on in the summer.

Given his contract situation, the Gers may be able to receive a decent fee for Wright, which they can then reinvest into other areas of the squad.

Chelsea Close To Appointing 10-Trophy Managerial "Legend"

Chelsea are close to appointing Marcelo Gallardo as their new manager at Stamford Bridge, according to reports.

What's the latest manager news at Chelsea?

Todd Boehly has placed Frank Lampard in charge until the end of the season whilst he continues his search behind-the-scenes to find Graham Potter’s long-term successor – and there have already been names of several potential candidates doing the rounds.

Former Bayern Munich boss Julian Nagelsmann and ex-Spain coach Luis Enrique currently appear to be the two leading contenders, but Gallardo is a left-field name to have also been linked, having departed River Plate in December.

The Argentinian chose to step down from his duties after a hugely successful eight-year tenure, having decided not to extend his stay beyond the expiration of his contract, meaning that he is now on the lookout for a new challenge – and it sounds like he might not be far away from sealing a move to his next destination.

According to Brazilian outlet UOL (via Sport Witness), Gallardo is “close” to taking over the reins in the dugout at Chelsea. River Plate's former coach was “already given a go-ahead” by Enzo Fernandez, who he managed during his time in Buenos Aires, and it’s stated that he views him “practically like a father”. The 47-year-old is a “big fan” of the Premier League and sees the Blues as a “great front door” as his introduction to management in Europe.

River Plate's former manager Marcelo Gallardo.

Would Gallardo be the right fit for Chelsea?

Gallardo became a managerial “legend” for his success at River Plate, as per journalist Josh Bunting, and looking at his previous track record, there’s no reason why he couldn’t have the same effect should he take over at Chelsea.

The Merlo native won 232 and drew 101 of his 424 games with the Primera Division outfit, where he was averaging 1.88 points per match, (as per Transfermarkt), highlighting how he is capable of getting his team performing on a consistent basis. The attack-minded 4-3-3 boss has also secured ten trophies throughout his career on the sidelines, with nine of those being at River Plate, showing that he can guide his team to silverware when given the chance.

Gallardo being a free agent on the market right now also means that the Blues wouldn’t have to pay any compensation to secure his services, so Boehly should use this, alongside the fact that he seemingly wants to join, to his advantage and bring him to SW6.

Villa Could Land Watkins 2.0 By Signing ‘Fox-in-the-box’

Aston Villa are reportedly leading the race for Charlton Athletic teenager Miles Leaburn ahead of the summer transfer window and the striker could be the next Ollie Watkins at Villa Park.

Could Aston Villa sign Miles Leaburn?

According to Football Insider, a number of Premier League sides have scouted the 19-year-old during his breakthrough campaign at Charlton, but it is currently Unai Emery's side who are in pole position.

The 6 foot 5 forward has caught the eye with his performances in League One so far this season, notching 11 goals and two assists in 31 appearances in the third tier, with a solid 6.71 rating from WhoScored for his performances.

Manager Dean Holden has stressed that the youngster is not for sale this summer amid interest from top-flight clubs, and with his contract running until the summer of 2025, Villa may be forced to splash out if they want to bring Leaburn to the Midlands.

However, the prospect of playing Premier League, and potentially European football will surely be difficult for the teenager to turn down, especially if he looks at how Watkins has performed at Villa having first made a name for himself in the lower leagues.

Could Villa land their next Ollie Watkins?

Watkins would progress through the academy at Exeter City and contributed an impressive 26 goals and 17 assists in 28 appearances for the Grecians before joining Brentford in the Championship.

The striker went from strength to strength with the Bees and managed another 49 goals and 17 assists in 143 appearances for the West London outfit, which convinced Villa to spend £28m on him in 2020.

The 27-year-old has hit double figures in every Premier League season since and is now enjoying arguably the best form of his career under Emery, with 14 goals and six assists to his name in the league as Villa target a European finish.

Leaburn will surely be looking at Watkins' career as inspiration that he can make it in the Premier League one day and his goalscoring return and obvious physical attributes suggest that he could be similarly dangerous for Villa in the future.

Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins

Holden was full of praise for the teenage forward after scoring in a draw against Wycombe Wanderers last month, which took him into double digits for the season.

He said: “It proves he’s not just a goalscorer. His all-round game, as much as he’s got to learn, is solid. He is not just a fox-in-the-box, he’s not just someone who will run in behind and he’s not just a target man.

“All of those different parts of his game will improve because it is his first season in senior football. Why can’t he get to 12 or higher than that? He is such a great lad to work with – he wants to improve.

"He doesn’t for one second think he is the finished article, which is really exciting. Huge potential.”

If Leaburn could live up to his obvious potential at Villa, there seems no reason why he couldn't emulate Watkins. As a result, Johan Lange should definitely be looking to bring in the Charlton teen this summer before his stock rises even further.

Tottenham: Journalist Shares "Big" Nagelsmann To Spurs News

Football Insider journalist Wayne Veysey has shared a 'big' update on Tottenham Hotspur and their links to free agent boss Julian Nagelsmann.

What's the latest news on Nagelsmann?

Spurs are reliably believed to be targeting the German, who was made readily-available following his surprise dismissal from Bayern Munich.

Nagelsmann also attracted interest from Chelsea in recent weeks, but with the west Londoners poised to appoint Mauricio Pochettino, Spurs have been handed a possible free run.

The 35-year-old is on chairman Daniel Levy's list of managerial candidates, which includes the likes of Luis Enrique, Arne Slot, Vincent Kompany and Ange Postecoglou, at least according to recent reports.

There have been recent suggestions that Nagelsmann is becoming far more open to taking the Spurs job than previously thought, with claims from Germany stating he is 'very tempted' by the job.

Julian Nagelsmann out of Chelsea race

This comes as Tottenham scour the market for a new permanent manager after sacking Antonio Conte last month, and former interim boss Cristian Stellini soon after the Italian.

Ryan Mason has been placed in temporary charge of Spurs until the end of this Premier League season, and in the meantime, Tottenham will be putting plans together in the search for Conte's successor.

Now, according to Veysey, writing for Football Insider, there has been what the outlet describes as a 'big' update.

Indeed, Nagelsmann is said to have privately decided he won't be joining Spurs – or any other club – before the summer. What's more, Tottenham are apparently losing faith they will appoint him for the 2023/2024 campaign, with Spurs worried that Nagelsmann is using their interest as leverage to seal another top job in Europe.

They allegedly have 'concerns' about his intentions, coming after they made him their top target to replace Conte. Nagelsmann also doesn't believe that Tottenham have a squad built for success – which is something he wants when considering his next job.

Who should Spurs hire if they can't get Nagelsmann?

If the north Londoners ultimately fail in their pursuit of Nagelsmann, we believe Feyenoord boss Slot fits the bill quite nicely.

There have been reports of him being keen to take the Spurs job, and after a brilliant campaign in the Netherlands, his stock just keeps on rising.

Members of the media have lavished praise on Slot, calling him one of the finest managers in his country, even before his Feyenoord title charge.

Much like Pochettino when he first took charge of Spurs, Slot is arguably a lesser-known but promising name, and perhaps that is exactly what Levy needs when looking for a project manager.

Radrizzani Eyeing £20m Summer Striker For Leeds

Leeds United have the 27-year-old striker Habib Diallo on their radar ahead of the summer transfer window as they look to bolster their squad.

Who is Habib Diallo?

The Yorkshire club are entering their final four games of the 2022/23 campaign with their status in the Premier League under serious scrutiny.

Only goal difference is keeping the Whites outside of the bottom three currently with Sam Allardyce brought in to attempt to provide them with an immediate turnaround.

Goals have been an issue for Leeds this season having only scored 43 times in their 34 league appearances.

This comes despite Rodrigo scoring 11 times in the league, but only one of those have come since the turn of the year (via Transfermarkt).

The search for a consistent bagsman will take Leeds into the summer with Diallo believed to be on their radar after an impressive campaign in Ligue 1.

Diallo is currently playing for the struggling Strasbourg who also sit just outside of the drop zone on goal difference where he has two years remaining on his deal.

Speaking on the Football Insider YouTube channel, journalist Pete O'Rourke has suggested the Whites will target the £20m-rated Diallo if they remain in the top flight:

(15:20) "I think he would be somebody who will figure quite highly on Leeds' wanted list as [he] will for a number of Premier League clubs, I think, Habib Diallo.

"There has been a number of clubs who have went over to watch him in France this season as well and Strasbourg willing to sell him well this summer. Just got a couple of years left on this contract but the French club want to cash in on him this summer."

"I think for somebody like Diallo with his goalscoring record in France, I think you're probably looking at between £15m-£20m mark for him as well."

Would Diallo provide Leeds with an upgrade?

Leeds have been overly reliant on Rodrigo this season with no other player having broken the double-figure mark in front of goal.

The next highest-scoring striker at Elland Road has been Patrick Bamford, but the Englishman has only provided a return of four goals in the Premier League (via Transfermarkt).

Injuries have been an issue for the 29-year-old for a number of seasons now, however, he hasn't helped himself in missing chances like he did against Leicester City.

In comparison, Diallo has shone in the struggling Strasbourg side having returned 17 goals in Ligue 1 alone this season (via Transfermarkt).

rodrigo-leeds-united

What is perhaps even more appealing for Leeds is the 27-year-old's goals have remained fairly consistent throughout the course of the campaign.

Along with his impressive goals return, the Senegalese forward has also offered Strasbourg with help in defence as he ranks inside the top seventh percentile for interceptions made (via FBref).

In comparison to Rodrigo, the Ligue 1 man has provided more attempted take-ons per game but has lacked in a lot of other statistical areas (via Fbref).

However, he has trumped the Spaniard in the most important statistic having returned a further six league goals this season which will surely encourage those at Elland Road.

Premier League Hall of Fame: 2023 inductees revealed

Tony Adams, Petr Cech and Rio Ferdinand have been inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame.

The likes of Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard have all been previously inducted since it was unveiled in 2021.

Earlier this year, legendary managers Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger were announced as this year’s first inductees, with the latest trio topping a 15-man shortlist consisting of the competition's best players to join them in the elite group.

What is the Premier League Hall of Fame?

The Premier League Hall of Fame is a collection of the competition's greatest-ever players. Nominees are selected by the Premier League and members of the Premier League Awards Panel based on their contribution and record of success since the league's inception in 1992.

How did the vote work?

This year’s inductees were decided by the general public, with fans able to vote for who they would like to see become Hall of Famers.

Voting commenced on Monday 10th April, with the three players joining Ferguson and Wenger as part of 2023’s intake.

Who is already in the Premier League Hall of Fame?

Since inducting its first members in 2021, there are now 21 former players and managers in the Premier League Hall of Fame.

2021's inductees were: Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry, Eric Cantona, Roy Keane, David Beckham, Dennis Bergkamp, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard.

2022's inductees were: Patrick Vieira, Wayne Rooney, Ian Wright, Peter Schmeichel, Paul Scholes, Didier Drogba, Vincent Kompany and Sergio Aguero.

This year saw Ferguson and Wenger become the first managers to enter the Hall of Fame, with Arsenal skipper Adams, Chelsea legend Cech and Man United's defensive stalwart Ferdinand winning a recent public vote.

Who has been inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame?

Tony Adams

Former Arsenal captain Adams – a two-time winner of the Premier League (alongside the Gunners’ Division One success in 1989) – has his place in the competition’s folklore assured. His spectacular finish against Everton in 1998 – 25 years to the day of his induction – put the icing on the cake as Arsenal stormed to their first top-flight title of the Premier League era.

A stalwart of the Gunners’ backline in a spell spanning three decades, Adams’ haul of 255 appearances since the league’s inception in 1992 makes him one of English football’s most decorated players.

The one-club man joins former teammates Henry, Vieira, Wright and Bergkamp in the Hall of Fame.

Petr Cech

Shot-stopper Cech joined Chelsea in the summer of 2004 from Rennes as one of the first signings under Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge.

Part of the record-breaking backline that conceded just 15 goals in an incredible debut season – sealing Chelsea’s first league title for 50 years in the process – it was perhaps inevitable he would go on to become a Premier League great.

Indeed, after over a decade in west London, where he earned four top-flight crowns, he further enhanced his status as a true great of the game when he broke the Premier League’s all-time clean sheets record, surpassing David James with his 170th shutout while playing for Arsenal in December 2015.

Ending on a grand total of 202 – 33 more than James’ tally – there is little doubt Cech is more than worthy of a place amongst the league’s elite.

Rio Ferdinand

Ferdinand’s £30m move from Leeds to Manchester United in 2002 saw his Premier League career truly take off. The ex-West Ham defender won six titles at Old Trafford, including in his debut season.

His partnership with teammate – and fellow Hall of Fame nominee – Nemanja Vidic has been labelled as one of the greatest in the division’s history, with the Red Devils’ record run of three consecutive titles a clear reason why.

He ended his career back in London at QPR, where he was unable to save them from relegation, though he did make his 500th appearance during his spell at Loftus Road.

As part of the latest inductees, he becomes the seventh United player in the Hall of Fame, alongside his former boss, Sir Alex Ferguson.

Who were the other Premier League Hall of Fame nominees in 2023?

Sol Campbell

Campbell sent shockwaves through north London in the summer of 2001 when he made the controversial switch from Tottenham Hotspur to Arsenal – but it was in the red part of the capital where he enjoyed the bulk of his success.

Winning two Premier League titles and FA Cups within his first three seasons at Highbury, the Gunners ‘Invincible’ was a mainstay in their historic 2003/04 campaign under Wenger with 35 appearances while powering Arsenal to an unprecedented triumph.

A spell with Portsmouth followed before a brief return to Arsenal in 2010 and a short stint at Newcastle United, where he surpassed 500 appearances in the top flight.

Michael Carrick

Starting out at West Ham United, midfielder Carrick took his career to new heights after moving to Spurs and earning himself a switch to Manchester United, where he won no fewer than five Premier League titles.

Being part of a star-studded United side may have left his contributions to go under the radar, but with the likes of ex-teammate Scholes already part of the Hall of Fame, perhaps it is time the current Middlesbrough boss got the recognition his stellar career deserves.

Predicted Leeds XI, Team & Injury News Vs Newcastle

Leeds United return to Premier League action today, but face a stern test as they welcome Newcastle United to Yorkshire.

Sam Allardyce will know just how imperative any points could prove to be in their desperate bid for survival, yet Eddie Howe's high-flying Magpies remain just as incensed to fight for the win given their battle to secure Champions League football wages on. Both of these teams are vying for something they will feel they deserve, and it should make for a feisty affair.

Having fallen to a spirited loss last time out against Manchester City, the experienced 68-year-old will have already learned plenty about the squad in preparation for yet another daunting fixture. Having also enjoyed ample time to instil his ideas across to the squad, it is expected that Elland Road will play host to a resolute display in the hopes of frustrating the visitors.

With injuries and fitness to contend with as they begin a triumvirate of cup finals for the Whites, there could be slight changes in order to keep the squad fresh and ready for the fight ahead.

How will Leeds lineup against Newcastle?

There could be as many as two changes from the defeat to the Cityzens.

Having been found culpable on one too many occasions this year, directly at fault for at least three goals, Illan Meslier will remain on the bench whilst Joel Robles starts.

The back four should also remain largely unchanged, but with Rasmus Kristensen far from a centre-back, and Luke Ayling a much more dependable and experienced option at full-back, the Denmark international must be dropped.

After all, one of the £10m flop's most recent showings at right-back saw him branded as "appalling" by journalist Leon Wobschall. Pascal Struijk could then earn a recall to partner Max Wober as his replacement instead, and the two will be flanked by Junior Firpo and the aforementioned 31-year-old vice-captain.

The midfield three should remain unchanged given a lack of alternatives, as Adam Forshaw, Weston McKennie and Marc Roca all start.

kieran-trippier-newcastle-united

That leaves just one further change within the front three, allowing Patrick Bamford to drop out so the more in-form Rodrigo can return. Having come from the bench last week to half the deficit, the Spaniard notched his 12th league goal of the season to further extend his lead as the club's top scorer.

He will be supported by the attacking exploits of Wilfried Gnonto and Jack Harrison, both of whom possess that moment of magic that could be imperative to claim all three points today.

Predicted Leeds XI (4-3-3): Robles; Ayling, Struijk, Wober, Firpo; Roca, McKennie, Forshaw; Harrison, Rodrigo, Gnonto

Spurs Eyeing Move For "Unbelievable" £17m-rated Gem

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in making a move for Southampton talisman, James Ward-Prowse this summer, with the Englishman facing an uncertain future at St Mary's following the club's recent relegation.

What's the latest on Ward-Prowse to Spurs?

According to the Daily Mail, the Lilywhites – as well as the likes of Aston Villa and West Ham United – are said to be admirers of the 28-year-old, with the Saints already said to be preparing themselves for offers from Premier League clubs after their drop into the second tier was confirmed at the weekend.

As per the report, the influential midfielder's current deal – which is set to run until 2026 – does not contain a relegation clause, with the south coast unsurprisingly still keen on keeping hold of the long-serving asset despite the prospect of life in the Championship.

That being said, however, the piece goes on to add that the playmaker's reported £100k-per-week salary could prove rather 'pricy' for the newly-relegated side next season, with that potentially opening the door for the likes of Spurs to pounce.

Should Spurs sign Ward-Prowse?

Aside from the search for a new permanent manager at N17, the major concern for Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will be the uncertainty surrounding Harry Kane's future at the club, with the 29-year-old the subject of interest from Manchester United with just a year left on his existing contract.

The hope will be that the club's record goalscorer will opt to stay put in north London beyond the end of this season, with the signing of Ward-Prowse, in particular, potentially set to be a key factor in tempting the England captain to remain in the capital.

The additon of his compatriot could well represent a dream signing for Kane such is the midfielder's ability to provide quality service, with talkSPORT pundit Darren Ambrose going as far as to suggest that if "you sign James Ward-Prowse, Harry Kane stays".

Tottenham's Harry Kane

As Ambrose claimed, the arrival of the "set piece master" – as hailed by broadcaster Maximiliano Bretos – could give Spurs' talisman "an extra ten goals a season" due to his deliveries, with that likely to be a mouthwatering prospect as far as Kane is concerned.

Lauded as the "perfect player that Spurs need that goes from defence to attack" – according to Ambrose – Ward-Prowse would be a real asset to his Three Lions colleague as he arguably has the "best delivery in the league", in the words of teammate Jan Bednarek.

The Portsmouth-born gem – who is valued at around £17m by CIES Football Observatory – has notably created nine big chances this season as a marker of his devastating, creative brilliance, with that a better record than what the current midfield pairing of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (five big chances) and Oliver Skipp (zero big chances) have achieved combined for Spurs this term.

As such, it is clear to see that the 5 foot 8 sensation would represent a "great fit" for the club – as per journalist Pete O'Rourke – and potentially for Kane, with Levy needing to ensure that a deal is wrapped up sooner rather than later for the "unbelievable" talent, as hailed by ex-Saints man, Oriol Romeu.
