Na última terça-feira, Nenê cumpriu suspensão no empate sem gols do São Paulo com o Internacional, no Morumbi. Sem o meia, o Tricolor sofreu e praticamente não levou perigo ao time gaúcho.

Nenê voltou à equipe diante do Atlético-PR e provou sua importância. Além do gol marcado em cobrança de pênalti, ele conduziu o time nas melhores chances.

Não que o São Paulo tenha criado diversas jogadas perigosas, mas Nenê foi fundamentou nas duas grandes oportunidades: deixou Diego Souza em ótima posição para cabecear (goleiro Santos defendeu) e tocou para Everton sofrer o pênalti.

Questionado sobre a importância de Nenê, o técnico Diego Aguirre preferiu exaltar todo o elenco.

– É injusto falar de um só jogador nesse momento. Todos estão em um nível altíssimo. O mérito é de todos – disse Aguirre.

O treinador, porém, sabe que o time melhora com o meia em campo. Não foi coincidência que o São Paulo teve um de seus piores jogos ofensivamente quando Nenê cumpriu suspensão na rodada passada contra o Inter.

Andrew Miller15-Sep-2011For a man who started the summer amid doubts about his aptitude for one-day cricket, Alastair Cook has enjoyed a pretty healthy first season as England’s full-time ODI captain.Two hard-fought series wins over Sri Lanka and India have been complemented by his own impressive returns with the bat, and with the final act looming in Cardiff on Friday, he has the opportunity to send India back home without so much as a single victory to salve their battered pride.”You get judged on the results and we’ve won both series,” Cook told reporters in Cardiff. “It’s an encouraging start but I think the good thing is, in the last two games we’ve not really played that well, but we managed to get the result which bodes well.”Most games, especially in tournaments, are very close. It’s good to get yourself used to those situations. If you dominate games it becomes less stressful. But we’ve made some good progress over the last couple of series.”England have a 2-0 lead with one match to play, following a wash-out in Durham and a rain-affected tie at Lord’s on Sunday. Whatever happens in the fifth and final ODI cannot affect the overall result, but England have enjoyed developing their winning habit this summer, and Cook does not believe any of their appetites have been sated just yet.”Andy [Flower] said it’s amazing how quickly sport can change,” said Cook. “The practice session today, you wouldn’t have known what had happened in the series from the way we’ve trained over the last two days. The hunger in the side is there, it should be there,but it’s good.”England’s dominance has, to a certain extent, been mitigated by the absence of so many of India’s frontline players, from their bowling spearhead Zaheer Khan to the man of the recent World Cup, Yuvraj Singh. Nevertheless, England have themselves had to make do without the likes of Kevin Pietersen, who has been rested, and Eoin Morgan, who has succumbed to a shoulder injury, but they’ve not let those absences affect their outlook.”What’s been encouraging is we’ve had no Eoin or Kevin and others have been given the chance and they’ve stepped up and taking their opportunities well – especially Ravi [Bopara],” said Cook. “We do need a squad and 15, 16, 17 players and people adapting to roles in the side and coming in to produce match-winning innings. Despite Cook’s best efforts, which included a remarkable innings of 80 not out from 63 balls in a 23-over second ODI at the Rose Bowl, he has been unable to break into England’s Twenty20 plans, with Graeme Swann named as stand-in captain for the two matches against West Indies at The Oval next week.”I was disappointed,” Cook admitted. “You are when your name’s in the hat for selection and it doesn’t go your way. But it gives an opportunity for Graeme to do the job and I’ll think he’ll do a good job. The enthusiasm he has for the game will run off on people completely. He just loves it.”Swann’s default mentality is one that England as a squad appear to have adopted this summer, with the vibe within the team seemingly as good as it ever has been. “I think success bringshappiness,” said Cook. “It’s true when you are generally happy. When you’re notwinning, things start to grate on you a bit more than they would normally. Andthey wouldn’t be if you were winning. But having said that, when we lostin Perth [during the Ashes] our team spirit was still good.”As for India, their morale has been sagging for months, and with seven defeats and no victories in nine matches to date, there’s little succour on offer in this final fixture. While Cook shrugged that their struggles were “no concern to us”, he could at least empathise with the situation their squad now found themselves in.”It’s extremely tough because when we lost the Ashes 5-0, we found that hard,” said Cook. “It’s tough when you are working hard and become beaten by a betterside. It’s hard for morale and confidence. I’m pleased with the way we’ve not let them get back into their stride because we hit the ground running.”The whitewash tour of 2006-07 followed only 18 months after the highlight of England’s decade, the 2005 Ashes triumph – when the side looked capable of dominating all-comers, only to suffer a catastrophic loss of form and personnel. “We haven’t repeated [those mistakes] because we’ve got better,” said Cook. “We’ve taken huge steps forward as a set-up and as England players. And that’s why that’s not happened again.”In a contest that marks the end of India’s tour, there will be a more general farewell to be made, as Rahul Dravid prepares to play his 344th and final one-day international. “He’s an outstanding player,” said Cook. “He’s scored over 10,000 runs in both forms ofthe game. To be around as long as he has is incredible. He’s a great ofthe modern day, there’s no doubt about that.”

وكانت رابطة الدوري الإسباني، بقيادة خافيير تيباس، قد رفضت تسجيل اللاعب في قائمة برشلونة للفريق الأول، بسبب الأزمة المالية للفريق، لكن النادي لجأ للمحكمة التجارية والتي أنصفته، وأجبرت الرابطة على تسجيل اللاعب، وقدم تيباس طعنا ضد القرار.

كان اعتراض تيباس على تسجيل جافي لاعتقاده أن برشلونة سيعاني من زيادة الرواتب بالموسم المقبل بمقدار 200 مليون يورو وهو ما قد يضعه تحت طائلة قانون اللعب المالي النظيف في إسبانيا، والذي وضعه تيباس حتى لا يصبح أي ناد مهددًا بالإفلاس.

وكان برشلونة قد أعلن في 14 سبتمبر الماضي، تجديد عقد جافي لمدة 4 سنوات مقبلة بشرط جزائي بقيمة مليار يورو، لكن الرابطة رفضت تسجيل العقد منذ ذلك الحين، مما اضطر برشلونة لرفع قضية.

سيلعب جافي برقمه الجديد 6، بعد سنتين من اللعب برقم 30، كما أصبح لاعبا أساسيا في تشكيل المدرب تشافي هيرنانديز، صاحب الرقم 6 السابق والذي اشتهر به في النادي الكتالوني.

لعب جافي 78 مباراة مع برشلونة في كل البطولات، سجل 3 وصنع 11 هدفا، ولعب في مركزي لاعب الوسط وكذلك الجناح.

Pat Cummins should be fast-tracked into Australia’s starting line-up for the first Test in Cape Town, according to the former coach of South Africa, Mickey Arthur. Cummins, 18, has been named in Australia’s squad for the two-Test tour of South Africa and will be Australia’s second-youngest Test player of all time, behind Ian Craig, if he wins a baggy green.Despite having played only three first-class matches, Cummins has impressed with his speed and his variations during his short career, including in his first two Twenty20s for Australia over the past week. Arthur, the mentor of Western Australia and a candidate to become Australia’s head coach, said Cummins would form a formidable Test attack along with Ryan Harris and Mitchell Johnson.”Pat Cummins has been fantastic,” Arthur told ESPNcricinfo. “I think he should get a spot in the Test. If he’s fit you’ve certainly got to play him. If you’re good enough, you’re old enough. I think he’s going to be exceptional. He mixes it up, uses his variations.”I saw him last year when we played a Shield game at the SCG at the end of the year. Marcus North got a hundred and walked off and said that it was the most sustained fast bowling he had faced since Test cricket. He changed his line of attack, he came around the wicket to Mitchell Marsh and Tom Beaton and roughed them up a bit. I thought he was very, very good.”Cummins won his place in the Test squad ahead of James Pattinson, who was part of the touring party in Sri Lanka, and he is likely to be jostling with his New South Wales team-mate Trent Copeland for a place in the side. Arthur said the variation provided by a Cummins-Harris-Johnson attack would be hard for South Africa’s batsmen to handle.”I think the best attack for Australia would be Cummins, Ryan Harris and Mitchell Johnson,” he said. “They all offer something different. Then you can have Shane Watson and whichever spinner they decide to play.”The variation in that attack is so good. You’ll have the tall, quick bowler in Cummins, the left-armer in Mitch, and a guy who hits the deck hard in Harris. I think that’s a really good combination.”Arthur was in charge of South Africa during Australia’s previous tour there in 2008-09, when Johnson was a key figure in helping Ricky Ponting’s men take the series 2-1. Johnson bowled with aggression and swing, roughing up Graeme Smith and Jacques Kallis, and he finished as Australia’s leading wicket taker.His recent form has not been so impressive, a disappointing Ashes series and a middling tour of Sri Lanka having left him with 21 Test wickets at 41.28 over the past year. But Johnson collected five wickets in the fourth innings of last week’s Sheffield Shield game in Perth, where he bowled Western Australia to victory over Tasmania, and Arthur said he was in a good headspace ahead of the South African trip.”Mitch bowled extremely well for us in the Shield game here,” Arthur said. “He was excellent. He hit the deck hard, bowled at good pace, he swung the ball at times – I thought he was right where he needed to be. He likes bowling in South Africa as well. I think he’ll bowl well there.”The key with the ball for Australia is Mitchell Johnson. Australia thrive off Mitchell Johnson. When he bowls well, Australia do well. Mitch is in a very good headspace at the moment.”Australia’s Test-only players will fly out on October 27, although Harris and Michael Beer will remain in Australia a little longer, to allow them extra Sheffield Shield game-time. After a warm-up match in Potchefstroom, the first Test will be played at Newlands from November 9, before the teams head to Johannesburg for the second and final Test.

O técnico Jair Ventura tem sofrido com desfalques nos treinos do Santos durante a parada dos campeonatos por conta da Copa do Mundo. O Peixe fará nesta terça-feira a penúltima atividade antes da viagem para o México, onde realizará amistosos contra Monterrey, dia 7 de julho, e Querétaro, dia 10.

Como de costume, Jair Ventura tem fechado os treinos do Santos para a imprensa. Na última segunda, ele não pôde contar com Alison e Renato, além de Gabigol, Arthur Gomes e Lucas Veríssimo, que já vinham sendo desfalques.

Com isso, Jair não conseguiu montar seu “Santos ideal”. O treinador tinha a intenção de testar a equipe com quatro atacantes, recuando Rodrygo, mas Gabigol vem sendo desfalque em razão de dores no púbis.

Além de fazer testes no Peixe, Jair utilizará o período de treinos para definir o substituto de Diego Pituca, que terá de cumprir suspensão no clássico contra o Palmeiras, no primeiro jogo da volta do Brasileirão após a Copa do Mundo.

O Peixe treinará na tarde desta terça-feira, depois de o atacante Bruno Henrique conceder entrevista coletiva. Na sequência, a imprensa poderá acompanhar apenas os 20 minutos de aquecimento.

A parada da Copa do Mundo foi bastante produtiva para o São Paulo. Depois de receber quase duas semanas de folga, o elenco Tricolor ganhou os reforços do meia-atacante equatoriano Joao Rojas e do lateral-direito Bruno Peres. Por outro lado, perdeu Petros e Cueva. O técnico Diego Aguirre aproveitou bem o período sem jogos para definir os titulares e dar rodagem para o todo o elenco.

Ao todo, foram cinco jogos-treino sem nem uma derrota sequer (veja os resultados abaixo). A comissão técnica, que cobrou bastante do elenco durante a parada do Mundial, deu oportunidade para todos os jogadores demonstrarem seu trabalho durante os testes e ganharem ritmo de jogo.

Durante o período, o Tricolor ficou uma semana concentrado no CT de Cotia – onde treinam os garotos das categorias de base. O tempo juntos, de acordo com os próprios jogadores, serviu para unir mais o elenco, que lutará pelos títulos do Campeonato Brasileiro e da Copa Sul-Americana no segundo semestre da temporada.

Em meio a todo o processo de aperfeiçoamento da equipe, o clube apresentou seus novos uniformes de treino e jogo. No próximo dia 18, na partida contra o Flamengo, o São Paulo estreia sua nova camisa – fabricada pela Adidas.

A parte negativa, no entanto, foi a perda de dois jogadores importantes para a equipe. O volante Petros, essencial na última temporada, assinou com o Al-Nassr, da Arábia Saudita. Já o meio-campista Cueva, o único são-paulino que disputou a Copa do Mundo, assinou com o Krasnodar, da Rússia. Somadas, as duas vendas, renderam ao Tricolor quase R$ 60 milhões.
