Usei o documento do meu pai.

Eles sempre me colocaram no caminho certo.

Fui no dono do Osasco Audax, e ele deu total apoio.

Man Utd linked to Jadon Sancho

Manchester United are reportedly closing in on the signature of Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho after extensive negotiations.

What’s the story?

According to ESPN, the Red Devils have been handed a major boost, with sources telling the outlet that United are nearing the end of their year-long pursuit, with a deal worth £77 million set to be agreed with the Bundesliga giants.

Sancho was the subject of intense interest from United last summer, but Ed Woodward refused to meet Dortmund’s £108m asking price.

Ole will be buzzing

News that the England international’s arrival at Old Trafford is potentially imminent will surely have Ole Gunnar Solskjaer buzzing.

The Norwegian manager guided United to a second-place finish in the Premier League last season, although they ultimately fell short of winning any major honours.

While domestic rivals Manchester City lifted their third top-flight title in four years and Chelsea claimed their second Champions League crown, Solskjaer’s side were left empty-handed after Villarreal came out on top in the Europa League final.

It extended the club’s longest trophy drought in over 30 years and highlighted the bridge in quality between United and the sport’s top teams.

Bringing in a player who Germany legend Lothar Matthaus once described as a “perfect footballer,” therefore, will be seen as a major coup for the 20-time English champions.

Sancho has displayed his world-class potential on a regular basis since moving to the Signal Iduna Park back in 2017.

The 21-year-old has bagged an incredible 50 goals and provided a further 64 assists in just 137 appearances for BVB in all competitions.

Closing the gap to City will take more than the addition of just one player, but bringing in a beast with the star quality that Sancho possesses will certainly make a significant difference.

Lining up alongside the likes of Marcus Rashford, Edinson Cavani and Bruno Fernandes, Sancho could form one of the most fearsome forward lines in world football, one that could fire United back to their former glory.

It’s been eight long years since the Red Devils last lifted the Premier League title. However, with the addition of Dortmund’s prized asset in their ranks, the chances of that barren run ending become a little more realistic.

And, in other news…Man Utd heading for huge transfer mistake over £210k-p/w flop, Solskjaer must avoid

Pakistan find a new coach at the eleventh hour

With the appointment of Richard Pybus as the Pakistan coach, the Pakistan Cricket Board’s search for a successor to Javed Miandad has come to an end, at least for the time being

With the appointment of Richard Pybus as the Pakistan coach, the Pakistan Cricket Board’s search for a successor to Javed Miandad has come to an end, at least for the time being. The appointment is hardly a long-term one – it’s initially just for the forthcoming tour of England, which leaves the new coach with barely enough time to pack his bags and jump on to the plane from his home in South Africa to meet up with the team in London. There have been approaches to many other people – including Pybus himself, who was discarded first time round. Others rumoured to be in the frame included Geoffrey Boycott, Greg Chappell, who said he wouldn’t do it before an offer was even made – and Barry Richards, as well as numerous former Pakistan players including Wasim Raja and Mudassar Nazar. The fact that the search has ended at the eleventh hour is indicative of how problematic it was for the PCB.Pybus has worked with Pakistan players before – he was the team’s trainer during the 1999 World Cup, and he went on the tour to Australia as coach later the same year. But he was then sacked mid-way through his contract after Pakistan lost 3-0. Nothing too unusual about that outcome – it’s happened to seven Pakistan coaches in the past four years, and to Javed Miandad twice.
ThePakistanis have a team talk
Photo PA Sports
Pybus has already said that Pakistan will go into the series with England as underdogs, after their one-nil series defeat on the subcontinent last year. But he and England will be fully aware that on recent tours of England it’s Pakistan who’ve come out on top – it’s almost 20 years since they were last beaten there. Such time spans need mean little to the England camp though after their four series wins in a row, including laying a 31-year-old ghost against the West Indies, and achieving the first-ever win over Pakistan at Karachi’s National Stadium in December.Pybus will be supported on the tour by Daryl Foster, who was appointed bowling coach by Pakistan last week. He has plenty of talent at his disposal, but will inherit the fall-out from the recent tour of New Zealand, after which his predecessor accused the team of failing to perform at their best in the one-day series. And what an achievement it would be if he could secure a harmonious relationship between those most distinguished of warhorses, Waqar Younis and Wasim Akram.

Zimbabwe face massive task on final day

A statistics student with an interest in demography could have taken it on as a case study

Samanth Subramanian24-Feb-2002A statistics student with an interest in demography could have taken it on as a case study. What percentage of Nagpur-ites, with India in a strong position and Sachin Tendulkar undoubtedly looking for quick runs on a Sunday morning, cancelled plans of going boating or amateur orange picking and instead packed picnic lunches before making a beeline for the Vidarbha Cricket Association stadium?A less exhaustive prospect for research would be to ask what percentage of the stadium crowd was disappointed that Sanjay Bangar acted as understudy for Tendulkar on the fourth morning. After three days of batsmen grinding out runs reluctantly, Bangar’s stroke-play could not have been more welcomed than five-star A-grade manna to a famished Moses.Tendulkar scored only 39 runs on the day, and it is not often that he contributes as many out of a stand of 110. More credit, then, to a man whose selection ahead of Virender Sehwag expended much newsprint across the country. Fresh from a double century on the domestic circuit, Bangar made his maiden Test hundred in only his second match, batting with a quietude that many hardened veterans would find tough to match. The century almost did not come, however, as India lost both Tendulkar (176, 316b, 23×4) and Zaheer Khan (0, 2b) with the score on 547, Ray Price scalping the little master to get his second five-wicket haul in Tests. Anil Kumble, however, hung around for 15 balls and added 13 runs, enabling Bangar to get to three figures. Sourav Ganguly declared on 570/7 as soon as Bangar hit his 100th run off his 155th ball; his knock featured 12 boundaries, many of them just chipped cleverly over the infield, and two sixes.Zimbabwe faced a deficit of 283 runs, a situation that shut out any thoughts of victory from their minds. Their openers, then, played accordingly; Stuart Carlisle, in fact, looked positively dashing in comparison to Trevor Gripper, who seemed to have decided that it was time for all stolid men to come to the aid of the party. Carlisle’s innings, however, ended just after lunch when a Zaheer Khan delivery pitched outside leg and rapped him on the pads. Umpire Venkataraghavan upheld the loud appeal, and India had gotten rid of their first-innings thorn in the side.Gripper and Alistair Campbell almost saw their side through to tea safely, Campbell in particular looking comfortable against spin and rapidly outpacing his companion. In the last over before tea, however, he failed to get to the pitch of a Kumble delivery; the ball struck the shoulder of his bat and VVS Laxman completed an easy catch at first slip.Andy Flower’s tenure at the crease in the second innings was less momentary that the first, but he always looked shaky and vulnerable, his confidence dented by his recent lean patch. His dismissal loomed not too far on the horizon, and when he was caught by Rahul Dravid at short leg off Kumble, he had made 8 off 41.With Gripper still propping up one end, Gavin Rennie played with some elan, pulling out the sweep shot to good effect against Kumble and Tendulkar. He struck three fours, all swept to square leg or mid-wicket, and rotated the strike nicely otherwise. But just when it looked like the pair would walk out the next morning unscathed, Kumble struck again, having Rennie caught by substitute Virender Sehwag at short leg.India could not get rid of night-watchman Price before the close of play, even though Ganguly stationed, at one point, seven men around the bat. Or perhaps he reasoned that close-in fielders had a chance of taking any catches that Deep Dasgupta grassed; three chances went down today behind the stumps.Zimbabwe start the final day precariously perched on 152/4. They can still pull off a draw in this match, and that will be a creditable achievement indeed. Gripper looks in the mood to bat implacably for another day, and Price, Grant Flower, Heath Streak and Travis Friend can hardly be called mugs with the bat. But India hold two aces Kumble and the unlucky Harbhajan on a pitch that is increasingly lending itself to turn.

Windass not sure about Potter going to Tottenham - Exclusive

Tottenham Hotspur’s managerial search has been back and forth ever since they parted ways with Jose Mourinho, and someone who has been an ever-present in the conversation is Graham Potter, but Dean Windass is not so sure he’s the right man.

It appeared that Spurs were staring down a black hole of who to turn to next but a fresh report from talkSPORT’s Ian Abrahams has confirmed that it is now a two-horse race between Potter and Nuno Espirito Santo, with the latter being easier to appoint as he is no longer at Wolves.

A report from last month suggested that transfer supremo, Steve Hitchen, was going to recommend Potter as his number one candidate for the job to Daniel Levy and since then, Spurs have attempted to bring in Mauricio Pochettino, Antonio Conte and Paulo Fonseca.

Spurs have not had a permanent English manager in the dugout since Harry Redknapp was appointed back in 2008, so it would be a bold move by Levy who knows Tottenham have to win some silverware soon but Potter could be a risky appointment, something Windass spoke exclusively to Transfer Tavern about:

“I’m not so sure about the Graham Potter’s of this world but they would certainly go for the former Wolves manager, Nuno.

“Tottenham just need a little bit of stability again because it’s a tough job at a big club so the one thing about that job is that the manager has got to be reassured that they are going to stay.”

Potter has won himself a lot of plaudits during his time at Brighton after managing to turn the Seagulls into a great side to watch with their attack-minded style of play and it is assumed that if they had a goalscorer upfront, they would be nowhere near the relegation zone as they had an XG of 51.6 but only managed to score 40 goals.

Levy knows that he can’t appoint another manager like Mourinho, someone who is pragmatic and doesn’t want to play on the front foot because Tottenham fans want to get back to how they were under Pochettino, which was exciting and fun to watch.

TEST DEBUT: Still awaited
ODI DEBUT: Still awaitedBIOGRAPHY (March 2002)Andre Hoffman, currently captain of the CFX Academy in the 2001/02 Logan Cup competition, is a cricketer with a handicap, which he is not afraid to admit and to tackle. He has to fight against being overweight, and has achieved such success that it is hard, looking at him today, to realize that this is a constant problem in his life and career.Andre comes from a rugby rather than a cricketing family, but came to realize that he has more talent in cricket. His brother, eleven years older than he, played cricket, although not at an exalted level, and he passed on his love of the game to Andre. He can remember playing back-yard cricket with him when very young, his introduction to the game.He began his junior schooling at North Park, where he played for the colts team, but later moved to board at Barwick. He remembers taking nine wickets for 30 runs in trials for the Zimbabwe Under-13 team, bowling medium-paced outswingers, and thinks he took more than 30 wickets during that week. He followed it with a successful tour to England with the Mashonaland Country Districts Under-13 schools side; he remembers scoring 86 against a Sussex team. "I’ve always been an all-rounder," he says. "I’ve always preferred batting; that’s been my main key, but I’ve got something to fall back on if I fail with the bat."He moved from Barwick to high school at Watershed near Marondera, the same school as Raymond Price, who was two years ahead of him, but they played first-team cricket together. "One thing I enjoyed about playing with Raymond was that he had a lot of guts and he definitely tried a lot harder than anyone else," said Andre. "He probably wasn’t the most talented of cricketers but he always worked hard at his game. I can remember before trials one year getting up at five o’clock in the morning for about two terms and having throw-downs with him in the nets."Watershed, a comparatively new school, did not have a strong team and by the end of his first year Andre found himself in the senior team. In a schools festival that year he remembers scoring 78 not out and also taking four wickets against Jameson (Kadoma). For his Under-13 team he recorded innings of 170 and 180, both not out, against Eaglesvale and Hillcrest, and took over 100 wickets. Unfortunately a back injury at the start of his second year prevented him from bowling for a year, which hampered his confidence when he returned and its long-term effects cut down his speed. Back problems still hamper him at times. In the fourth form he scored seven successive fifties, but `only about three or four hundreds’ altogether for the first team, putting it down to lapses in concentration. He names deputy head Jim Davidson as the greatest influence on his career, the man who taught him the desire for and love of the game. He played in all the age-group teams for Zimbabwe from Under-13 level onwards, captaining the Under-15 team, and was a member of the Under-19 team to tour England in 1997.He joined Harare Sports Club at the age of 14 and has played for them ever since when in Zimbabwe, enjoying the camaraderie at the club. He has played for them mainly as a bowler, but 2001/02 he thought was his most successful all-round season for them, scoring three half-centuries and several instances of four wickets in an innings. He also played winter league cricket for Watershed, scoring five centuries for them in 1998.Andre left school in 1998, and decided to opt for overseas experience, spending three seasons playing in the United Kingdom, trying to "further my knowledge of different conditions, which I think has worked, and has also helped in the mental aspect with the game. I think I’m a lot more focused now than when I left."In 1999 he played for Alderley Edge, topping the batting averages in scoring over 800 runs, with four centuries, but without bowling much as he was suffering from a shin splint injury. He returned to Zimbabwe, made his first-class debut for Mashonaland and was selected for the Board XI at the end of the season; in 2000 he played for Selkirk in Scotland. Tired of the politics interfering with the game in Zimbabwe, he decided he would give himself two years away from the country, but privately expected never to return. A winter in Scotland soon changed his mind.By the time he returned his weight had increased to 115 kilograms or more, and he found the cricket community did not take him seriously – despite the example of the legendary Richie Kaschula, who played at times with weight reputedly in excess of 130 kilograms! He found encouragement, though, from Andy Flower, who told him that if he put his heart into it, he could lose the weight and make a successful return to cricket. He returned to England for the 2001 season to play for Norton in the North Staffordshire and South Cheshire league, a season he did not enjoy. His personal performances were disappointing, and he calculated he had an average of four catches a game dropped off his bowling. The death of his mother in Zimbabwe also affected him badly, as he had enjoyed a close relationship with her and she had always supported him. However, Andre’s brother is in the army in England, and at this stage his influence for good on Andre continued. When he returned to England, his brother put him through commando training for six months, which lost him about 30 kilograms. "The focus he put into me made me decided that, yes, cricket was the way forward, and I was going to come back (to Zimbabwe) and give it my best shot. That is basically why I applied to come to the Academy."Andre feels he still has to lose another ten kilograms to be his ideal weight, but he now looks no more than burly and his application to fitness is satisfying the requirements of the Academy. "Everything is heading forward at the moment," he said. "I’ve put myself on hold for a bit for a prosperous cricket career, and now I intend to work hard at my game and see if I can actually make it to the top. I want to be a role model to a lot of people who think they’re overweight and can’t do things – or anything that is holding them back. I want to show them that if they put in a little bit of hard work – in fact, a lot of hard work – things can happen."It may sound a bit bigheaded, but I do intend to play Test cricket and I do intend to play one-day cricket for Zimbabwe. But that only comes with hard work and getting the right break at the right time, and cashing in on it."Andre is still keen to play cricket, of a higher standard next time, during the English season, and recalls a game during 2001 when he played as a guest for a club that is interested in hiring him as a future professional. He scored 160 not out, and would have won the match for them had not a run-out on the final ball of the game brought about a tie.Andre is predominantly a back-foot player who `likes taking it to the bowler’; he prefers batting at number four or five. When bowling, he feels that patience is his main virtue and he gets most of his wickets simply by bowling in the channel and getting many caught-behind decisions. His favourite fielding position is first slip.Cricket heroes: Andy Flower and Steve Waugh.Toughest opponents: Bowler – "John Traicos, in the nets at Harare Sports Club – very wily and cunning." Batsmen – Andy Flower and Alistair Campbell.Personal ambitions: "I’d love to play Test cricket and get a big hundred; to captain the team would be an even greater honour."Proudest achievement so far: Captaining the Academy side, a dream come true.Best friends in cricket: Bryan Strang, Donald Campbell, Mark Vermeulen, Raymond Price, Trevor Gripper.Other qualifications: No actual qualifications, but worked as a computer technician for eight or nine months, but found it difficult to take on a daily basis. He started his own computer business, doing odd jobs, and made quite a bit of money, but still found it too monotonous.Other sports: Rugby up to provincial level at school – "but it got a bit taxing on the body." Athletics.Outside interests: Computers – despite their being boring!Views on cricket: I’d prefer better umpiring – but we all make mistakes! I think rather than choosing players on colour, I would prefer a performance-based selection. Instead of having a quota system, players should be picked because they’re in good form or they have what it takes to succeed at that level, and we’d have a much better Test side. The Test side would believe in each other and we wouldn’t have the problems of players not wanting captaincy and so on, if we were playing the best side. I feel we could probably pick a second team that would give the Test side a good run for their money."
