أعلن الفرنسي باتريس كارتيرون المدير الفني لنادي الزمالك تشكيل فريقه أمام الإنتاج الحربي، في المباراة التي ستنطلق بعد قليل في الدوري المصري الممتاز.

الزمالك يلتقي مع الإنتاج الحربي على ملعب السلام، في المباراة المؤجلة من الجولة السادسة عشر من المسابقة المحلية.

ألمح فابيو باراتيتشي، المدير الرياضي ليوفنتوس إلى أن أندريا بيرلو سيُقال من منصبه كمدرب للفريق إذا لم يتأهل لدوري أبطال أوروبا.

ويحتل يوفنتوس حاليًا المركز الثالث لكنه قد يتراجع للمركز الخامس إذا فاز أتالانتا ونابولي بمباراتيهما المؤجلتين.

فابيو باراتيشي قال لشبكة “سكاي إيطاليا”: “أندريا بيرلو سيكون مدربنا الموسم المقبل إذا تأهلنا إلى دوري الأبطال بالتأكيد”.

وأضاف: “نحن لا نفكر حتى في خيار عدم التأهل لدوري الأبطال، نركز فقط على ما نقوم به لتحقيق أهدافنا”.

A number of Liverpool fans have taken to social media to hail Trent Alexander-Arnold as the academy product continues to go from strength to strength.

The 21-year-old made his 16th club appearance of the season against Genk on Tuesday night as the Reds recorded a 2-1 win at Anfield.

Alexander-Arnold has contributed four assists and one goal in 16 outings this term, whilst he has not missed a minute of the club’s Premier League campaign to date.

His consistency when it comes to availability is impressive in itself, but the Englishman’s ability was once again on display earlier this week.

Against Genk, the right-back had two shots, made three tackles and had a pass success rate of 84%, according to the statistics provided by WhoScored.

Alexander-Arnold has become an incredible outlet down the right for Jurgen Klopp’s side, and a whole host of Liverpool supporters have been keen to hail him on social media:

وشدد: “يجب تجديد عقد برونو فرنانديز والحفاظ عليه، بوجبا لن يفيد مانشستر يونايتد مستقبلًا، تفكيره خارج المستطيل الأخضر، وهذا لا يمكن الاعتماد عليه”.

ويعتبر بوجبا هدفًا للعديد من الأندية الأوروبية في مقدمتها يوفنتوس وريال مدريد، وحتى الآن مستقبله مجهول في ملعب أولد ترافورد.

West Bromwich Albion midfielder Jake Livermore has heaped praise on his teammate Romaine Sawyers and has tipped him for the very top.

Livermore bagged the only goal of the game in that match, but he and Sawyers will both be suspended for their game against Sheffield Wednesday when the team returns from national team duty in two weeks.

Speaking to the Express & Star, the Albion skipper talked up the impact of the 28-year-old, he said:

“He is fantastic, I love the boy as a kid and I love him as a player. I love playing alongside him.

“He is a nice calming influence. I think we bounce off each other quite well.

“I back him to be a real, real top player and I have played with a few.

“But I back him to be as good as anyone I have played with to be honest. And I mean that.”

Sawyers rejoined the club in the summer, having been released as an academy graduate back in 2013, and this season he’s played every minute of every game available.

Speaks volumes

The former Tottenham and England man has undoubtedly played with some great midfielders alongside him, so his words speak volumes.

At Spurs, there was Scott Parker, Luka Modric, and Moussa Dembele – there are four Champions League titles and a World Cup runners-up in there somewhere.

While for the national team, the seven-time capped powerhouse has featured alongside Frank Lampard, Michael Carrick and Ruben Loftus-Cheek

To put Sawyers’ name in that bracket is certainly sticking his neck out on the line, but it only goes to show the ability and quality on offer.

The 29-year-old’s comments surely hint that his teammate can go all the way to the top, though, those at the Hawthorns will be hoping it’s in the blue and white stripes.

With reports surfacing claiming Aston Villa striker Jonathan Kodjia is attracting interest from Turkish side Besiktas, this transfer would seem to make sense for all involved. 

Kodjia, 30, arrived in the West Midlands from Bristol City in 2016, and impressed in his debut season for the club, scoring 19 goals in 45 Championship appearances.

Villa fans would have been forgiven for believing they had found a forward capable of replicating the attacking output that Christian Benteke had provided in B6 prior to the Belgian’s £32.5m departure to Liverpool, but injuries have plagued the striker’s time at Villa Park and consequently the exit door in January represents a solution to a growing problem for the club.

Kodjia has made just two substitute appearances in the Premier League so far this season, and with reports suggesting a move for Alfredo Morelos of Rangers could be in the pipeline, freeing up the 30-year-old’s wages for a younger, less injury-prone striker makes perfect sense for Dean Smith.

If the Ivorian had managed to maintain his fitness levels and deliver a similar level of performance as was evidenced in his debut season with the club, then Kodjia could well have become one of Villa’s most reliable goalscorers in the modern era.

Yet, at a time when the club are looking to progress and consolidate their status in the top-flight, players such as Kodjia who have been unable to really challenge for a regular starting berth are a luxury that the newly-promoted side cannot afford. Everybody needs to be pushing for places and keeping the regulars on their toes. 

For Kodjia, meanwhile, Turkey represents a chance to relaunch his career in a less challenging league provided he can avoid further injury setbacks. Besiktas, of course, would be getting a player who has piqued their interest and having scored just 14 times after eleven top flight games this season, they could certainly do with a dose of extra firepower arriving mid-season. 

All in all, the striker’s departure from B6 is a move that truly does make sense for all concerned.

وقال بيومي في تصريحات تلفزيونية بفضائية “الشمس” عبر برنامج “البلدوزر”: “جميع قرارات مركز التسوية والتحكيم خاطئة”.

وأضاف: “اتحاد الكرة لا يعترف بمركز التسوية من الأساس، لذلك لا توجد جهة منوط بها تنفيذ الحكم”.

واختتم: “الحكم الذي حصل عليه الأهلي بتغريم عبد الله السعيد لن يعتد به لعدة أسباب، أهمها إن هذا الأمر متعلق بالاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم”.

وكان عبد الله السعيد قد انتقل من أهلي جدة السعودي إلى صفوف بيراميدز قبل ثلاث سنوات.

أكد خالد علي المنسق العام لفريق صن داونز الجنوب إفريقي، أن الزمالك كان ندًا لنظيره الأهلي في المباراة التي أقيمت بينهما قبل يومين ببطولة الدوري المصري الممتاز.

ومن المنتظر أن يستضيف الأهلي نظيره صن داونز مساء السبت المقبل على ملعب استاد السلام بالقاهرة، قبل أن يحل عليه ضيفًا في الثاني والعشرين من مايو الجاري، في ربع نهائي بطولة دوري أبطال افريقيا.

وقال علي في تصريحات تلفزيونية بفضائية “أون تايم سبورتس”: “خروج محمود شيكابالا أثر على المباراة، ومثلما يشتكي موسمياني من ضغط المباريات والفريق لا يوجد لديه وقت للراحة، أقول له إننا لعبنا مباراة أمس”.

وعن توقيت مباراة الإياب والتي تحدد لها في الثالثة عصرًا، أردف: “أريد أن أصحح معلومة، مع احترامي لكل الإعلاميين نحن لا نختار توقيت المباراة، الموعد محدد من كاف، توقيت المباراة من تخصص كاف وهذا من أجل البث التلفزيوني والأجندة لديهم”.

واستطرد: “الكاف هو الذي حدد المواعيد وليس صن داونز، توقيت المباراة الساعة 3 ليس سلاحًا هامًا، الأهلي صعد على حساب صن داونز واللقاء كان الساعة 3”.

When Liverpool signed Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Premier League rivals Arsenal back in the summer of 2017 for a fee in the region of £35m, the Reds no doubt thought they were getting a man who could really offer quality depth out wide. After all, in his time with the Gunners, the England international played just 17 times in central midfield, with the position he played in the most being on the right-hand side.

But since arriving at Anfield, the 26-year-old has shown that he is more than capable of playing in the trio of midfielders that Jurgen Klopp likes to set up with. As per Transfermarkt, in his 58 total appearances for the club, 23 of them have come from the middle of the park – the most of any position he has occupied on the pitch for the Merseyside club. And he has been at his most effective there too.

In the games he has played in central midfield, Oxlade-Chamberlain has scored five times and provided a further six assists, which comfortably betters anything that he has produced from other areas. Yet on Saturday afternoon against Crystal Palace, Klopp inexplicably decided to deploy the former Arsenal man from out wide, as a direct replacement for Mohamed Salah who was on the bench.

It was therefore no surprise to see the Englishman really struggle to impose himself on the game. As per Sofascore, his 6.3 match rating was the lowest of any Liverpool player who started the match, and looking at the underlying numbers from his performance, it is easy to see why. The £35m man had no shots whatsoever despite playing further advanced up the pitch, had just 27 touches (the fewest of any starter) and completed none of his three attempted dribbles.

It was the kind of performance that should really make Klopp finally sit up and take notice. To truly get the best out of Oxlade-Chamberlain, the Reds boss must simply use him in his most effective position. Otherwise, he risks having him rot away from out wide with no real influence or contribution for the side.

The international break is still rumbling on, and there have been some Liverpool players in action in the past couple of days.

Fabinho, Alisson and Roberto Firmino all featured for Brazil against South Korea, which the Selecao won 3-0, whilst Neco Williams was in action for Wales’ U19 team earlier on Tuesday. They won 2-0, with the Liverpool 18-year-old getting himself on the scoresheet, albeit after missing a penalty originally.

The teenager recently made his Reds debut against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup, even providing an assist in that 5-5 draw which the Anfield outfit eventually won on penalties. Clearly, he has a bright future ahead of him in the beautiful game.
