كشف تقارير صحفية، عن إصابة فواز القرني حارس مرمى اتحاد جدة بفيروس كورونا خلال الفترة الماضية.

وكان القرني ضمن قائمة فريقه الاحتياطية في مباراة الأهلي الأخيرة التي أقيمت مساء السبت الماضي ضمن منافسات الجولة الثالثة من الدوري السعودي.

وأفادت صحيفة “الرياضية” السعودية، أنه تأكدت إصابة فواز القرني بفيروس كورونا وتم تبليغ المخالطين له، من لاعبي فريقه الاتحاد والأهلي قبل وبعد مباراة الديربي، لأخذ احتياطاتهم، بإجراء فحص كورونا.

وشهدت مباراة اتحاد جدة الأخيرة مشاركة أحمد حجازي الوافد الجديد من وست بروميتش الإنجليزي على سبيل الإعارة لمدة موسم.

يذكر، أن اتحاد جدة قد حقق فوزًا هامًا على حساب غريمه الأهلي في اللقاء بنتيجة 2-0.

أكد لاعب فريق إشبيلية الحالي وبرشلونة السابق إيفان راكيتيتش أن النجم ليونيل ميسي من نوعية اللاعبين الذين يحتاجون إلى معاملة خاصة.

وجاءت تصريحات راكيتيتش بعد يوم من التصريحات المثيرة للجدل والتي أدلى بها مدرب برشلونة السابق، كيكي سيتين، والذي أشار إلى صعوبة إدارة ميسي (لمطالعة التفاصيل من هنا).

وقال راكيتيتش، في تصريحات نشرتها صحيفة “موندو ديبورتيفو” الإسبانية: “اللاعبون من هذا المستوى يختلفون عن الآخرين، ويجب على الآخرين أن يتعاملون معهم بطريقة خاصة جدًا نظرًا لقدرتهم على إحداث فرق”.

وأضاف: “كنت دائم الانسجام مع ميسي بشكل رائع تمامًا، خاصة إنه من بين الأمور الأخرى كان من أوائل الذين سألوني عما إذا كنت في حاجة إلى شيء، عندما وقعت لـ برشلونة في 2014”.

وواصل: “لا نعرف ما إذا كنا سنكون محظوظين في المستقبل بما يكفي لرؤية لاعب كرة قدم مثل ليو مرة أخرى”.

أعرب الإنجليزي الشاب ريس ويليامز، مدافع ليفربول، عن سعادته باللعب في مباراة أتالانتا بدوري أبطال أوروبا.

ليفربول انتصر على أتالانتا بخماسية نظيفة خارج قواعده، في المباراة التي جمعت بين الفريقين، الثلاثاء الماضي، ضمن لقاءات الجولة الثالثة من دور المجموعات بدوري أبطال أوروبا.

وقال ويليامز في تصريحات للموقع الرسمي لناديه: “حتى الآن هذه الليلة كانت أفضل ليلة في حياتي، وآمل أنّ يكون هُناك المزيد في المستقبل”.

وأضاف: “الفوز على أتالانتا بهذه النتيجة، يجعلني فوق القمر، اكتشفت أنني سأكون أساسيًا قبلها بيوم، وحاولت فقط أن أدخل في الحالة المطلوبة طيلة اليوم، ولحسن الحظ نجحت في ذلك”.

وواصل: “لقد حاولت أنّ أنام بضع ساعات قبل المباراة لكن لم يحدث ذلك، قمت بالاسترخاء فقط ومشاهدة بعض الأفلام، شعرت بالتوتر بعض الشيء لكنني تعاملت مع الأمر بشكل جيد”.

وتابع: “كان لدينا ما نريد إثباته، سجل هذا الفريق الكثير من الأهداف على أرضه، وكان التحدي ألا يسجّلوا في شباكنا، هجومنا أيضاً يستحق كل التقدير والفريق بأكمله حقًا”.

وأردف: “نحن كنا نعلم أنه يتعين علينا الدفاع بشكل جيد، وكنا نعلم أنهم سيدافعون بثلاثي ضد الثلاثي الهجومي لدينا، لقد سيطرنا على المباراة وفي كل الهجمات كنا الأخطر، والفضل لـ جوتا الذي سجل الهاتريك”.

وأتم تصريحاته قائلَا: “الهدف الآن هو تحقيق 6 انتصارات في 6 مباريات، والخروج بشباك نظيفة في كل المباريات؛ سيكون ذلك بمثابة مكافأة حقيقية لنا، كما سنصل لدور خروج المغلوب”.

Reports in Turkey claim Newcastle are eyeing 22 year-old midfielder Dorukhan Tokoz.

What’s the story?

According to Hurriyet, Newcastle have been scouting Tokoz with a view to a possible summer switch.

The report claims the Magpies have been tracking Tokoz for some time, and they will have certainly liked what he has produced this season.

Hurriyet have previously claimed that any offers below £12.8m (€15m) will be rejected, so should Newcastle pursue the youngster this summer?

Is he good enough?

It is hard to judge players performing well outside of Europe’s top five leagues, but Tokoz has serious potential.

Playing mostly as a defensive midfielder, the 5 ft 11 ace has scored three times and added four assists this season.

He takes 1.3 shots per game, completes 78% of his passes and creates one chance per game, while also being dispossessed less than once per game (Whoscored).

It is on the defensive end where he really shines though, boasting an average of 2.9 tackles and two interceptions per game, while also winning two aerial duels every match.

With Sean Longstaff looking every bit of the midfielder fans hoped he would be, Rafael Benitez needs a quality partner for the young Geordie, and Tokoz could be just that.

With great reading of the game, tough tackling, aerial prowess and clever, insightful passing, pairing him with Longstaff would give the Magpies a midfield brimming with confidence, technique and physical prowess.

Manchester United fans have taken to Twitter in furious fashion after it was revealed that rivals Manchester City are closing in on a move to sign Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes.

The Portuguese international was believed to be a target for the Red Devils, but it now appears that they have been beaten to the punch by their city rivals in a deal worth a reported £47m.

Fernandes has enjoyed a truly phenomenal season for the Portuguese giants this term. The 24-year-old has scored a staggering 31 goals from midfield – breaking the European record of goals scored by a midfielder previously held by Frank Lampard with 27 – whilst he also has a crazy 17 assists.

It seems greedy of the reigning Premier League champions to add Fernandes to their ranks, considering the fact they already have the likes of Bernardo Silva, Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva, Phil Foden and Riyad Mahrez.

However, this kind of signing is how the big clubs maintain their success.

Due to the fact that they are definitely more in need of a player such as Fernandes, and the fact that they seem to have lost out to a major rival, United fans on Twitter are not happy with the club’s lack of foresight in the market.

It’s safe to say that without Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or Alexandre Lacazette, Arsenal would not achieve what they did this season.

Without the two strikers, the Gunners would be without a Europa League final and a chance to make it back into the Champions League, and after such a blistering season from both attackers, they have both attracted interest across the continent.

Lacazette, who is valued at £58.5 million on Transfermarkt, has found himself being courted by Barcelona if the Catalan giants are unable to sign Antoine Griezmann whereas Aubameyang has recently been linked (as per Diario Gol) with a move to Real Madrid as Los Blancos aim to completely reshape their squad after such a poor season in both Spain and in Europe.

The strikers are irreplaceable at Arsenal, but there is a good chance the duo will remain at the club. With Griezmann recently announcing his move away from Atletico Madrid, it is highly likely the French international will finally make his move to Barcelona, meaning Lacazette will remain a Gunners player.

And if the former Lyon striker stays, it more than likely means Aubameyang will remain as well. The attackers have a clear connection with each other both on and off the pitch, and after their first full season together there is a real chance the duo can take the club into a new era if they both remain at the club.

Their goals took Arsenal into a European final and gave them a shot at returning to the Champions League, and if Lacazette remains at the club, fans can expect more prosperous years together in north London.

There could be a small squad overhaul at Elland Road next season. Marcelo Bielsa has already said that he doesn’t expect a number of his players to reach the same levels ever again, and that could be a sign that change is afoot at Leeds United.

The Whites heartbreakingly missed out on promotion this season, so going forward they will want to strengthen in order to get over the line and end their 15-year wait for top-flight football.

Who retains their spot?

Kiko Casilla: Despite a poor showing in recent weeks, Casilla is on far too much money for the Whites to ditch him after just six months.

Luke Ayling: One of Bielsa’s most consistent performers. He has transformed into one of the league’s best right-backs.

Liam Cooper: The United captain has been incredible under Bielsa, and he will still be in the heart of the defence in 2019/20.

Ezgjan Alioski: The Whites have so many options at left-back. They certainly don’t need a new signing, but Bielsa may have a headache in choosing between Barry Douglas and Alioski.

Pablo Hernandez: The club’s Player of the Season hasn’t looked like slowing down yet, therefore he has to keep his spot.

Tyler Roberts: Looked incredible in the attacking midfield position towards the back end of this term, and aged just 20 he can still improve drastically in a variety of roles.

Mateusz Klich: The Pole had a breakout campaign under Bielsa, and he was the only player to start all 46 Championship games for the Yorkshire club.

Kemar Roofe: Leeds’ top scorer, there is no reason he can’t hit 20 goals next year if he can stay fit.

Who will be the new signings?

Yoann Barbet: Although Pontus Jansson has been a dependable partner for Cooper for multiple years now, the Swede may well be leaving Elland Road in pursuit of top tier football this summer, with Yoann Barbet being heavily linked in recent weeks.

Ander Iturraspe: Kalvin Phillips was unreal last season, so good that it’s hard to believe Leeds can fight off Premier League interest for their midfield general. It could be a case of replacing youth with experience for the Whites as they have been linked with La Liga veteran Ander Iturraspe.

Callum O’Dowda: Jack Harrison has returned to Man City, so a gap has opened up on the left flank. Mallik Wilks could fill that spot upon his return from loan, but Leeds are more likely to look towards Callum O’Dowda, who is a rumoured target.
